Disclosed is a navigation device in which nodes of a navigation tree that are saved in a storage device are shown by displaying a selected node in an expanded display mode and other nodes in a reduced display mode on a display unit. When a subordinate node is selected, the previously selected node changes into the reduced display mode and the newly selected node changes into an expanded display mode.
