PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound generator can be made compact and lightweight and output excellent sound.SOLUTION: A sound generator comprises: a piezoelectric vibration part having a housing 20 and a piezoelectric element arranged in the housing 20; a regulation part which is located at an edge of the piezoelectric vibration part at a side opposite to a lower surface 20a side of the housing 20 facing to a placing surface 150 when the sound generator is placed on the placing surface 150, and which can be in a regulation state for regulating a support state of the piezoelectric vibration part and in a non-regulation state for not regulating the support state of the piezoelectric vibration part; and a weight which applies a load to the piezoelectric vibration part. The piezoelectric element is driven in response to the sound signal in a state where the load is applied from the weight to the piezoelectric vibration part to deform the piezoelectric vibration part, and the deformation of the piezoelectric vibration part causes the placing surface 150 coming into contact with the sound generator, to vibrate and emit sounds from the placing surface 150. |
