A method and system for searching for video resources of a smart television, comprising: receiving a first search keyword outputted by a user; searching prestored text caption files for a caption file matching the first search keyword; obtaining video resource information corresponding to the caption file; transmitting the resource information to the smart television for display. The present application allows users to conveniently and flexibly search for a video based on script lines of the video.
