DYNAMIC INTERVERTEBRAL IMPLANT

Implant (1) consists of curved plate made from 1 mm sheet metal blank of titanium, aluminum and vanadium alloy TA6V, folded to form upper and lower side walls (2) and intermediate wall (3) providing flexibility when inserted between adjacent vertebrae (10). Outer edges of side walls have parallel, sharp-edged ribs (4) to engage with vertebrae and optional lugs with holes for screws. Side walls can have coatings to promote osteo-integration and/or holes for bone graft.
