<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharge-assist method for an internal combustion engine and the internal combustion engine capable of stopping gas leak by detecting gas leak and shutting off a leak part for an accumulated gas container and capable of eliminating the effect on brake actuation, in the internal combustion engine using, for the supercharge-assist, the gas stored in the accumulated gas container also used as a pressure container for brake actuation. <P>SOLUTION: An emergency shut-off valve 51 of a compressed gas supply passage 26 and an emergency shut-off valve 52 of an accumulated gas supply passage 28 are closed in any of a first state in which a pressure Pv in an accumulated gas container 27 is not increased during the actuation of a gas compression device 25 and during the non-actuation of a brake, a second state in which the pressure Pv is decreased during the non-actuation of the gas compression device 25 and during the non-actuation of the brake, and a third state which is determined by using the determination of any of a pressure Pi in an intake manifold 11a, a pressure drop rateΔPv of a pressure Pv, and a differential pressureΔP between the pressure Pi and the pressure Pv during a predetermined period after the start of the supercharge-assist. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
