<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical sheet having a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in contact with a micro-louver layer, in which generation of bubbles of residual air can be suppressed upon laminating the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes (A) an optical sheet preparation step, (B) a pressure-sensitive adhesive application step and (C) a functional layer lamination step, carried out in this order. In the step (A), an optical sheet 10 is prepared, in which a micro-louver layer 4, which comprises a plurality of linear dark-color wire portions 3 arranged in a large number in a plane direction with extending directions d parallel to one another and a transparent resin layer 2 supporting the dark color wire portions from at least side faces of the wire portions, is formed on a transparent substrate 1 and the dark color wire portions have recessed portions r on exposed surfaces e thereof. In the step (B), when a pressure-sensitive adhesive 5C is applied to form a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 5 on a surface of the optical sheet where the dark color wire portions of the micro-louver layer have the recessed portions, the adhesive is applied in an application direction dc parallel or substantially parallel to the extending direction d of the dark color wire portions.
