<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus which is capable of performing efficient pre-processing and shortening a tact time. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus comprises a discharge head and a processing unit 9 which performs surface modification processing for irradiating a surface of a base material 1 with ultraviolet rays to modify the surface of the base material prior to a droplet discharging operation of the discharge head. The processing unit 9 includes a plurality of irradiation sections 32a and base material holding mechanisms 27b and 28b for holding the base material so as to hold the plurality of irradiation sections 32a therebetween in timing for the irradiation sections to irradiate the surface of the base material with ultraviolet rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
