PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bush slidably supporting the outer periphery of a rack shaft with interference fit in a radial direction and in an axial direction relative to a circular groove of a housing and interference fit between the outer periphery of the rack shaft and the bush so as to reduce occurence of collision noise during sliding of the rack shaft.SOLUTION: A steering device is configured by loading a bush 10 into a circular groove 11 formed in the inner periphery of a housing 2 and supporting slidably the outer periphery of a rack shaft 3 in the bush 10, where the bush 10 is a spiral bush 10 whose spiral both ends are cut off. When the spiral bush 10 is loaded into the circular groove 11 of the housing 2, the outer diameter and the width in the shaft direction of the bush 10 have elastic interference fit to the groove bottom diameter and the groove width respectively of the circular groove 11. |
