Disclosed are an operation unit for supporting multithreading, a processor including the same, and a method for operating the processor. The operation unit for supporting multithreading according to an aspect comprises: a plurality of input ports for inputting opcodes and operands by thread; a plurality of operators for performing a particular operation for the operands; an operator selecting unit for selecting an operator for operating each operand from a plurality of operators base on each opcode; and a plurality of outputting ports for outputting an operation performed result by thread.
