In the present invention, disclosed are a system for discharging condensed water in fuel cell vehicles and a method for controlling emergency thereof wherein the system for discharging the condensed water in fuel cell vehicles comprise a fuel cell stack which generates power source by using a electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and air; a water trap which stores condensed water generated from the fuel cell stack; a water level sensor which is installed on the water trap in a certain height and senses the level when accumulated stored condensed water reaches a threshold level; a drain valve which opens a valve based on a sensed signal of the water level sensor, when a control signal is allowed, and discharges a certain amount of condensed water for a fixed time; and a fuel cell control part which controls the drain valve based on the sensed signals from the water level sensor and accordingly discharges a certain amount of condensed water while discharging condensed water, even though the water level sensor is broken and leads to emergency situations, by calculating amount of condensed water using average current value. |
