The present invention relates to a carbon nanotube coated with polydopamine/methoxy polyethylene glycol derivatives and a preparation method thereof, and more specifically, to the manufacture of a carbon nanotube coated with polydopamine/methoxy polyethylene glycol devrivatives capable of having remarkably improved dispersibility in an organic world, enabling even coating, and shorteninig a coating time since polydopamine/methoxy polyethylene glycol devrivatives are coated on the carbon nanotube in short time under an oxigen condition. Therefore, the carbon nanotube coated with polydopamine/methoxy polyethylene glycol derivatives manufactured in the present invention is thin as 1.3-1.5 nm and is applied to mass production of carbon nanotube/polymer composite since the dispersibility in the organic world is improved.
