Disclosed is a hip girder hanger bracket (100) for mounting a skewed beam for bracing or supporting a truss for a hip roof at a junction of two adjacent beams for quicker and easier construction. The hanger bracket (100) comprises a supporting section (120) to support the skewed beam; fixing flanges (140, 142) substantially perpendicular to the supporting section (120) for attaching the bracket (100) to the adjacent beams, the fixing flanges (140, 142) lying in different planes to each other; reinforcing faces (130, 132) located between the supporting section (120) and each of the fixing flanges (140, 142) , wherein the reinforcing faces (130, 132) are inclined relative to the supporting section (120) and fixing flanges (140, 142) ; and holes in the supporting section (120) or reinforcing faces (130, 132) used with fasteners to secure the skewed beam to the hanger bracket. The reinforcing faces (130, 132) are structured to bear the load of the skewed beam. The reinforcing faces (130, 132) form a diagonal inclination between the support section and the fixing flanges (140, 142). The reinforcing faces (130, 132) are inclined at obtuse angles relative to the supporting section (120) and fixing flanges (140, 142). The supporting section (120) has one or more holes configured to receive fasteners through which the skewed beam is secured to the hanger bracket through which the skewed beam is secured to the hanger bracket. The reinforcing faces (130, 132) have one or more holes through which the skewed beam is secured to the hanger bracket. |
