The present invention relates to a flume-type flowmeter capable of identifying a critical flow, which is developed to identify the situation when a flume-type flowmeter for measuring a flow in a sewer cannot measure a correct flow because of diverse causes such as all sorts of deposits, abnormality of the sewer, etc. The flume-type flowmeter includes: a U-shaped body which has both ends connected to two sewer pipes in a manhole where the two sewer pipes are connected to each other and includes an upward movement section, a horizontal movement section, and a downward movement section which are formed in sequence; and a sensor gauging unit which is installed in a bracket mounted on the top end of the body to measure a water level in the upward movement section at the position half of the width of the body, wherein the upward movement section has the bottom surface slantly ascending and the width of both sides adjacent thereto becoming narrow, the horizontal movement section is extended with the same height and width as the upward movement section, and the downward movement section has the bottom surface slantly descending and the width of both sides adjacent thereto widening. The flume-type flowmeter further includes a critical flow measuring sensor which is installed above the horizontal movement section of the body by a second bracket to measure a water level in the horizontal movement section.
|
