A system (108) for verifying a signature of a user comprises a synchronization module (126) to obtain a first feature vector, corresponding to a plurality of three dimensional images from a stereo camera system (104), and a second feature vector corresponding to the signature received on a surface of a pressure sensing device (106). The synchronization module (126) synchronizes the first feature vector and the second feature vector to provide a synchronized feature vector, by matching a timestamp of the obtained first feature vector with a timestamp of the obtained second feature vector. A comparing module (128) compares a feature of the synchronized feature vector with a feature of pre-stored signature (114) of the user. A decision module (130) identifies genuineness of the signature of the user based on the comparison, to verify the signature of the user.
