<p>Provided is a method for fabrication of an absorbent body which is formed when an absorbent core whereon depression parts are disposed in at least a longitudinal direction of a product is enveloped with a covering sheet, said method comprising an adhesive coating step of coating the covering sheet inner face which envelopes the absorbent core with an adhesive, and an encapsulation step of folding both lateral parts of the covering sheet so as to overlap and envelope the absorbent core, and overlapping and bonding the lateral parts upon the side of the face of the absorbent core whereupon the depression parts are positioned. In the adhesive coating step, in order that upon the lateral part the edge whereof contacts the absorbent core, the width of a dry edge region from the said edge to the outer side end of the adhesive coating region is kept constant, the adhesive is coated while detecting the location of the edge and computing the width of the dry edge region.</p> |
