PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, for defining completeness of an end-item set for a given product demand set of product portfolios and checking the completeness to allow production of a target product from the end-items in consideration of shared parts or subassemblies on the basis of the product.SOLUTION: A method 100 of validating completeness of end-items 17 on the basis of a Bill-of-Material (BOM) 23, which is a fundamental structure of PLM systems 21, comprises a product plan step 11 for defining products to be produced 13, a purchase planning step 15 for planning items to be purchased, and a supplier assignment step 19 for assigning end-items 17 to suppliers. |
