PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition for clothing, which exhibits excellent detergency for sebum stains when cleaning clothing. ! SOLUTION: Provided is a detergent composition for clothing comprising (A) an anionic surfactant, (B) one or more compounds selected from compounds represented by the following general formula (I), and (C) an alkali agent, where a mass ratio of a content of (A) component and a content of (B) component, [content of (A)]/[content of (B)], is 50/50 to 85/15; a total of a content of (A) component and a content of (B) component is 10 mass% to 50 mass%; and a content of (C) component is 10 mass% to 50 mass%: R-O-[EO]n-H (I) (in the formula, R is a hydrocarbon group having 8 to 10 carbon atoms; EO represents an ethyleneoxy group; and n represents an integer of 0, 1, or 2). !
