PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette folded paper maintaining opacity even with having low basis weight and reducing the amount of carbon monoxide in a main flow smoke. ! SOLUTION: There is provided a cigarette folded paper having basis weight of 14 g/m2 or more and less than 40 g/m2 and containing calcium carbonate having secondary particles with iga shape at percentage of 10 to 40 wt.%. Preferably primary particles of the calcium carbonate have columnar or acicular shape.
