preparing a suspension of the contaminant comprising at least one solid component and colored with at least one cationic dye; injecting the prepared suspension of the colored contaminant through a sample of the porous medium; splitting the porous medium sample; and determining a distribution and a profile of the contaminant in the sample based on a distribution and an intensity of the at least one cationic dye. |
