PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic driving car that allows for driving in compliance with traffic regulations and in accordance with road signs and road markings, regardless of a driver's intentions or errors.SOLUTION: An automatic driving car can be operated in a manual driving mode or an automatic driving mode. It includes storage means that stores data on predetermined conditions for complying with traffic regulations or predetermined conditions for maintaining safe driving, as switching conditions. It includes one or multiple condition element detection means to be used to detect condition elements for monitoring whether or not the switching conditions stored in the storage means are matched, and also determination means to determine whether or not the switching conditions are matched according to detection outputs from the condition element detection means while the car is operated in the manual driving mode, parked, or stopped. Driving mode control means switches the mode to a forcible automatic driving mode when the determination means determines that the switching conditions are matched. |
