A mobile telecommunications network includes a network core (30) operable to provide core network functions; and a radio access network having radio means for wireless communication with mobile terminals (10) registered with the telecommunications network and control means (1) operable to host a plurality of applications, functions or services (20, 20A, 20B) for use by users of the mobile terminals (10). The control means (1) includes a client function (100) and the network core (30) includes a director function. The control means (1) is operable to exchange information with the network core (30). The client function (100) and the director function (110) may provide the director function (110) with the information. The information may relates to the applications, functions or services (20, 20A, 20B) hosted by the control means (1).
