The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting damage to a filtration membrane. The apparatus detects whether the filtration membrane installed to filter raw water or reuse wastewater is damaged or not in real time. The apparatus for detecting damage to a filtration membrane in a water filtering system comprises: a connecting portion, as a hollow housing with a passage where treated water penetrates inside, having a first coupling groove, which is formed on one side of the housing, with a first window where laser light is incident in the center, having a second coupling groove, which is formed on the other side of the housing in a location facing the first coupling, with a second window where the laser light is emitted along a central shaft same as the first window and with a third window where the scattered laser light inside the housing is emitted, and having a pair of discharge pipe coupling grooves formed on both sides mutually facing the housing in a location perpendicular to a connecting shaft of the first coupling groove and the second coupling groove; a light source portion having a laser module for providing the laser light through the first window inside as a hollow housing combined with the first coupling groove; a light receiving portion, as a hollow housing combined with the second coupling groove, having a photoelectric module with a photoelectric sensor which receives the light emitted through the third window inside and converts the light into an electric signal; and a determination portion for analyzing the electric signal provided from the photoelectric module of the light receiving portion, and determining whether the filtration membrane is damaged or not in accordance with a result.
|
