PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection device which can suppress that liquid contaminated with foreign matter produced in a liquid ejection head and in a liquid storage chamber is ejected to an objective material to be ejected. ! SOLUTION: A liquid ejection device includes a tank 7, a liquid storage chamber 4, a liquid supply part 5 which performs a supply operation, a liquid ejection head 3 which performs an ejection operation, a discharge part 6 which discharges liquid supplied to the liquid ejection head 3 from the liquid storage chamber 4 toward other than the objective material to be ejected from the liquid ejection head 3 and a control part 10 which controls the liquid supply part 5, the liquid ejection head 3 and the discharge part 9. The control part 10, when an ejection signal is inputted, causes the discharge part 9 to discharge liquid of the total amount or more of the maximum volume of liquid in the liquid storage chamber and the maximum volume of liquid in the liquid ejection head |
