PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of accurately determining whether to brake a vehicle for preventing the crush accident of a vulnerable road user even in a situation where it is difficult to detect an object such as rushing out of the vulnerable road user.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device includes: one or more proximity sensors 11 to 16; one or more collision detection sensors 21 and 22; a proximity determination part 31 for determining whether or not a vehicle approaches an object on the basis of the output of one of the proximity sensors 11 to 16; a collision determination part 32 for determining whether or not a vehicle has collided on the basis of the output of at least one of the collision detection sensors 21 and 22; and a braking determination part 33 for determining whether to brake the vehicle on the basis of first information as the determination result of the proximity determination part 31 and second information as the determination result of the collision determination part 32. |
