PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus etc. which is intuitive and convenient for a user by switching the operation of the image forming apparatus when a terminal apparatus and the image forming apparatus are communicable with each other.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a document transportation part for transporting a document to a reading position; a document reader for reading the document being transported by the document transportation part; an image processor for generating image data from the read document; an image forming part for forming an image on a recording paper on the basis of the image data; and an ejection part for ejecting the recording paper to a paper ejection tray. When a radio communication part provided near the document transportation part becomes communicable with the terminal apparatus, the image forming apparatus detects the terminal apparatus placed near the document transportation part and stops the operation of the document transportation part.
