The present invention refers to a system for heating liquids through a solar heating unit indiscriminately operated as an independent unit or as an integral part of the system for heating liquids, which have an insulated thermal storage tank and an ancillary heating unit only operated in cases of low solar radiation or emergency. The particularity of the system is that the ancillary heating unit has a microprocessor acting as a control, which may regulate the temperature, the flow and may provide maintenance to the heating equipment.
