<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shake-out type mechanical pencil, which delivers a lead 15 by inertial force of a weight body 19, and which rotates the lead 15 in one direction by forward-rearward movement of a chuck 5 and a connecting tool 9 by writing. <P>SOLUTION: A lead tank 8 is connected to a rear part of the chuck 5, and the weight body 19 is provided at the outside of the lead tank 8 to be slidable in the longitudinal direction. The connecting tool 9 for receiving a fastening tool 6 pressed by the chuck 5 is configured to be rotatable with respect to a slide member 3.
