Rotor for a permanently excited synchronous engine

The rotor (1) has a shaft (4) capable of rotating about an axis. A laminated core (2) is provided with an axial layering arrangement defined by planes which are aligned perpendicular to the axis. The laminated core is provided with two layers configured to be geometrically different. The two layers are arranged in an axial direction to form axial pockets. The permanent magnets (5) are received in the pockets. An adhesive is provided in radial gaps (3) formed in axial sections of the second layer between adjacent plate segments and the permanent magnets. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a permanently excited synchronous machine; and (2) an electrically driven vehicle.
