A sports trouser comprises a waistband portion 11 with leg portions 12a, 12b, and a halter portion 13 extending from the waistband portion to loop, when worn, around the neck. The halter portion 13 is attached to the waistband portion 11, at two positions arranged on either side of the sagittal plane (A, figure 7) which divides the body along the axis of symmetry into right and left portions, and with each position being rearward of the coronal plane (B, figure 7) which divides the body into front and rear portions. The halter portion 13 is anchored so as to extend to the neck whilst crossing the body coronal plane beneath the arms of the wearer. This arrangement may make the trouser more convenient to don and doff, and may be more comfortable to wear. The garment may be suitable for sporting activities such as cycling, triathlon, skiing and snowboarding. |
