<p>The tool includes a main body 1 provided with an upper cover 11 having its lower side secured with a sleeve chamber 10 for mounting and positioning a sleeve 2 therein. An upper large opening 100 of the sleeve chamber has an annular wall disposed with lengthwise recesses 102 and engaging members 103. A non-circular reinforcing circumference 104 is disposed below the recesses and engaging members. The opening of a combination groove 110 has a notch 112 for matching with the reinforcing circumference of the sleeve chamber to increase anti-torsion strength between the chamber and the cover. The sleeve has its inner wall disposed with recesses (23, Figure 3) for receiving an upper ratchet wheel (4), which is engaged with a lower ratchet wheel (5) and a compression spring (6). The sleeve may include positioning serrations 25 of trapezium form. An adjusting member (7), which may be integrally formed, is used to accurately adjust the sleeve for deciding the pressure of the spring on both the ratchet wheels. The tool is able to adjust and restrict the locking torque of a locking stem 3.</p> |
