PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the adjustment of the contact pressure between a developing blade and a developing sleeve without largely affecting an image.SOLUTION: A developing device includes: a developer carrier that carries a developer; a blade that is in contact with the developer carrier to execute predetermined processing; a pressure member that is provided on the side opposite to the side where the blade is in contact with the developer carrier to have a gap with the blade while the blade is not in contact with the developer carrier, and is brought into contact with the blade when the blade is brought into contact with the developer carrier and deformed to press the blade against the developer carrier; and position adjustment means capable of adjusting the position of the pressure member relative to the blade while the blade is in contact with the developer carrier. |
