The present invention provides a battery cell characterized in that an electrode assembly, which comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separation film interposed between the positive and negative electrodes, is mounted in a containing portion of a battery case; a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal protrude from at least one surface among outer peripheral surfaces of the electrode assembly; and an insulating material is added between the electrode assembly and the battery case.
