PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective device for treating hypertension by the inactivation of conduction of a renal nerve that surrounds a renal artery.SOLUTION: A device for inactivating the renal nerve transmission in a mammal object includes: an ultrasonic transducer 30 inserted into a renal artery 10 of the mammal object that transmits non-converged ultrasonic energy; and an actuator electrically connected to the ultrasonic transducer that controls the ultrasonic transducer so as to transmit to the inside of an impact volume of at least 0.5 cmincluding the renal artery the non-converged ultrasonic energy applied at a treatment level sufficient to inactivate the renal nerve transmission of the whole impact volume.
