PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting element capable of uniformly diffusing current to uniform the light emission distribution.SOLUTION: A semiconductor light emitting element 1 includes, on a substrate: a semiconductor laminate including an n-type semiconductor layer, a light emitting layer and a p-type semiconductor layer; a transparent conductive layer 21; a p-side pad electrode 25; two or more p-side auxiliary electrodes 27 extending from the p-side pad electrode 25; and an n-side pad electrode 29. The transparent conductive layer 21 is provided on the p-type semiconductor layer. An insulation layer 23 is provided on a part of the upper surface of the transparent conductive layer 21. The p-side pad electrode 25 is provided on the insulation layer 23. The n-side pad electrode 29 is provided on the n-type semiconductor layer exposed from the p-type semiconductor layer and the light emitting layer. Two or more contact parts 31 where the transparent conductive layer 21 exposed from the insulation layer 23 and the p-side auxiliary electrodes 27 are in contact with each other are provided at positions separated from the n-side pad electrode 29 by an equal distance in a plan view. |
