The mill has a carriage with a movable carriage part and a fixed carriage part engaged into each other into guides and adjusted against each other by a spindle. The movable carriage part axially drives a milling shaft (30) over a bearing block (38). A milling housing bearing part (26) with the shaft is fastened at a machine frame. The shaft in a region between the bearing part and a support (25) of a drivable milling disk (22) is surrounded by a labyrinth seal (34). The seal protects a radial shaft gasket (31) against penetration of dust.
