PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of suppressing the separation of a sound absorption material when the belt-like sound absorption material is adhered to an area corresponding to a tread part on a tire inner surface, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. ! SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes a tread part 1, side wall parts 2 and bead parts 3. An inner liner layer 14 composed of thermoplastic elastomer, thermoplastic resin, or thermoplastic elastomer composition made by blending thermoplastic resin and elastomer is arranged to an area corresponding to at least the tread part 1 on a tire inner surface 4, and a belt-like sound absorption material 6 is adhered to an area corresponding to the tread part 1 on the tire inner surface 4 in a tire circumferential direction through an adhesive layer 5. !
