A squeeze film damper (11) provided with: a bearing housing (22) that serves as an inner ring and is provided around the radial direction outer periphery of a bearing (10) that rotatably supports a rotating shaft (5); an outer ring (31) that is provided around the radial direction outer periphery of the bearing housing (22); a squeeze film (35) that is formed so as to allow a viscous fluid to flow through the radial direction space between the bearing housing (22) and the outer ring (31); and a connection pin (32) that connects the bearing housing (22) and the outer ring (31) and that is deformable in accordance with the relative displacement of the outer ring (31) and the bearing housing (22) in the radial direction. With regard to a cross section that intersects the axial direction of the rotating shaft (5), the rigidity of the connection pin (32) is greater in the vertical direction than in the horizontal direction.
