METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTERPOLATING POINT SPREAD FUNCTION USING NONGRID IMAGE REGISTRATION IN MEDICAL IMAGE

Provided is a method for interpolating a point spread function (PSF) using non-rigid registration in a medical image, which comprises the steps of: measuring a point spread function (PSF) sinogram for at least one voxel position among a plurality of voxel positions with respect to a medical image system by performing a Monte-Carlo simulation (MC simulation) based on symmetry of the medical image system; imaging the measured PSF sinogram by using a reconfiguration algorithm of predetermined image; obtaining a deformation field by performing a non-rigid registration between the imaged PSFs; and interpolating the PSF for remaining voxel positions except at least one of the voxel position among the voxel positions with respect to the medical image system by using the obtained deformation field.
