PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered body having a high degree of orientation, an oriented electrode containing the sintered body, and a battery comprising the oriented electrode.SOLUTION: The sintered body comprises a conductive substrate, and an oriented layer formed on at least one side of the conductive substrate by magnetic orientation. The oriented layer comprises spherical particles of lithium cobaltate (LiCoO), and the c axis of the lithium cobaltate is oriented along a prescribed direction at a prescribed angle or greater with respect to the direction normal to the conductive substrate.
