The present invention relates to power supplies for use in transmission arrangements configured to transmit and/or receive cyclically extended data symbols, such as DMT transceivers. In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, a transmission arrangement (1) comprises a switched-mode power supply (30) controlled by a PWM signal (S PWM ) comprising successive cycles, a transceiver for transmitting or receiving successive cyclically-extended data symbols (DMT i ; DMT i+1 ) with a common symbol period T DMT , the cyclically-extended data symbols respectively including a data part (DATA) with a common data period T DATA and a cyclic extension (CE) of the data part, and a coupling path (60) between the switched-mode power supply and the transceiver.
