<p>This appearance inspection device is provided with a partition wall (8) and an inspection table (6) on which a tire is placed and the appearance of the tire is visually inspected. This partition wall (8) is positioned behind the tire in the direction in which visual inspection is performed. A wall surface of the partition wall (8) serves as the background for the range in which visual inspection is performed. In the visual inspection of a side surface of the tire, the area of the wall surface of the partition wall (8) is, preferably, 150% to 400% of the projection area of the side surface of the tire. In the visual inspection of a tread surface, the area of the wall surface of the partition wall (8) is, preferably, 120% to 400% of the projection area of the tread surface of the tire.</p> |
