PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which can reduce the size of an image buffer region when a high-speed data transfer mode is set and make the utilization of a memory region efficient.SOLUTION: The device receives notification of a data transfer mode from a PC and determines whether the data transfer mode is a high speed SS mode or not; and when determining that the mode is the SS mode reduces the size of an image buffer region.
