Disclosed are a system and a method for providing a spread financial instrument. The system for providing a spread financial instrument includes: an underlying asset module for storing information on a plurality of underlying assets; a spread module for acquiring spread which is a difference between a first yield to average and a second yield to average which are the yields to average during certain periods of first group including at least one underlying asset selected among the underlying assets and second group including at least one second underlying asset respectively; and a control module for determining return on investment to be provided to investors based on the spread acquired by the spread module.
