A portion of a brain called a hippocampus plays an important role in spatial cognition and making decisions. External electric stimulation applied to nerve cells in the hippocampus is known to affect activation or delay in necrosis of the nerve cells. The system according to the present invention simultaneously acquires a plurality of nerve signals from locations in the hippocampus of a rat, processes information indicated by the nerve cells, enters the information into the software to quantity the information, obtains characteristics of the nerve cell group, and then stimulates the nerve cells in the hippocampus again with an electric stimulator to operate in a closed-loop format.
