The present invention relates to a gap maintaining device, and to a segment for a continuous casting apparatus using the same. According to the present invention, the gap maintaining device which maintains a gap between facing rollers by maintaining a length of a rod to adjust the gap between the rollers comprises: a plurality of maintenance members capable of reciprocating in a direction intersecting with a longitudinal direction of the rod. The maintenance members move back and forth toward the rod to adhere closely or to avoid an outer circumference surface of the rod. Moreover, the gap between the rollers included in the bender of a continuous casting apparatus can automatically be adjusted without a manual operation of a worker.
