<p>The device (10) has a sealed enclosure (101) enclosing an entire exterior surface of a rupture element e.g. shear disk. A surface of the enclosure includes a sealing portion provided to be secured around a tubular base (14) of a compartment. The enclosure includes a shear disk or a metal membrane adapted to break under a gas pressure lower than a rupture pressure of the rupture element. The enclosure is made of two half-shells, which are assembled by bolting. A clamp allows applying of a sealed closing portion against the tubular base. The shear disk is made of aluminum. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a device for containment of gas leaks.</p> |
