摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel economy in a temporary-retreating travel for a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 includes: an engine 100; motor-generators MG 1, MG 2; a power division mechanism 300 including a carrier CA, a sun gear S and a ring gear R, which are linked respectively to a crank shaft 110 of the engine 100, a rotor 410 of the motor-generator MG 1 and a rotary shaft 415 of the motor-generator MG 2; a propeller shaft 430; an automatic transmission 500 disposed between the motor-generator MG 2 and propeller shaft 430; a battery to which charging and discharging are applied in association with rotation of the motor-generator MG 1; and an ECU for controlling the automatic transmission 500. The ECU controls the automatic transmission 500 so that rotational directions of the motor-generator MG 1 are switched between a forward direction and a reverse direction in accordance with an SOC of the battery.
