PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the accuracy of image restoration to prevent overflow.SOLUTION: A method of creating an image restoration filter restoring images by fixed-point calculation on the basis of an OTF of an imaging optical system 101 includes the steps of: setting a target restoration gain value G not to exceed a restoration gain limit value Gm, which is calculated by dividing the maximum value that can be calculated by fixed-point calculation, by the number of data points (S104); and creating frequency characteristics of the image restoration filter on the basis of the target restoration gain value set in S104 (S106).
