PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine driving device capable of detecting abnormality of a command signal, and to provide an electric power steering device using the same.SOLUTION: In a rotary electric machine driving device, a control unit 40 acquires a detected current value Ic detected by a shunt resistor 30, and generates upper command signals UH, VH, WH which are command signals for switching on/off of upper arm elements 21 to 23, and lower command signals UL, VL, and WL which are command signals for switching on/off of lower arm elements 24 to 26, based on the detected current value Ic. An abnormality detection unit 55 determines that a pair of the upper command signal UH and the lower command signal UL are in simultaneous-off abnormality, if simultaneous-off state, in which both of the upper command signal UH and the lower command signal UL corresponding to a pair of the upper arm element 21 and the lower arm element 24 are turned off, continues for a simultaneous-off abnormality determination period or more. Thereby, the simultaneous-off abnormality of the command signals UH and UL can be detected appropriately. |
