PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission control device in which positional deviation or falling off of a honeycomb structure can be effectively prevented and which can achieve good emission control performance.SOLUTION: The emission control device comprises a honeycomb structure 40 having a segment structure, and a can body 20 including a cylindrical barrel 21 storing the honeycomb structure 40 therein, the can body 20 further has at least one supporting rod 24a which is arranged in parallel with a flowing-out end surface 42 of the honeycomb structure 40 stored in the barrel 21 and which supports the flowing-out end surface 42 of the honeycomb structure 40, and a location of the flowing-out end surface 42 of the honeycomb structure 40 where a joint layer 36 is arranged is supported by at least one supporting rod 24a. A prescribed location of the flowing-out end surface 42 of the honeycomb structure 40 is supported by at least one supporting rod 24a, so that damage to a partition wall 31 etc. of the honeycomb structure 40 can be effectively prevented while positional deviation or falling off of the honeycomb structure 40 is effectively prevented. |
